The so-called color matching is the combination of two or more colors, or the use of a small number of colors in addition to the main color palette, to form a color combination. When preparing the color ink before use, first expose the color to be prepared on the color sample separately, and correctly distinguish whether the original (or original) color is primary color, intermediate color, or duplicate color. If it is an intermediate color or a complex color, it is necessary to distinguish the ratio of the main color to the auxiliary color. Secondly, it is necessary to adjust the color tone and sample according to the original instructions. Only when the color difference is small or equal compared to the original, can a large number of adjustments be made in a short time and with an appropriate amount of adjustment. Too little adjustment, resulting in shutdown, inconsistent ink color, and affecting normal production; Excessive consumption can lead to unnecessary waste. Ink mixing is usually done in areas where the light is stable or not directly illuminated. When adjusting the color of screen printing ink, three points should be noted: a. When mixing ink, different colors of ink should be added as little as possible. The fewer types of ink, the better the mixing effect. b. Using the "light to deep" principle, regardless of the preparation of light or bright colored inks, caution should be exercised when the color scheme is close to the sample. It is best not to mix and use inks produced by different manufacturers, and try to use inks of different colors from the same manufacturer for color mixing. Otherwise, uneven color tones may occur, and in severe cases, condensation may occur and the ink may be scrapped. c. Some screen printing inks are dried by drying, with lighter colors being lighter than those that have not dried, and darker colors being darker after drying. In addition, it is easy to overlook whether there is a difference in the color tone of ink before and after drying during printing. Generally speaking, through natural drying (solvent volatile ink), the substrate is plastic, metal, paper, glass, etc., and the color will not change; But if it is a color material used in ceramics, it only develops color after burning and oxidation, and can only be adjusted based on experience. For screen printing inks that are dried through thermosetting and photo curing, the color changes in depth, as mentioned above. When there is a large amount of ink adjustment, an ink adjustment machine can be used to complete color adjustment in a short period of time.
The preparation of light ink is generally based on white ink, with appropriate color ink mixed. If it is light blue, it is mainly white ink, with a slight increase in blue (cyan); Light red, with white ink as the main color, slightly highlighted in red; Gray, mainly white ink, slightly black; Silver gray, mainly white ink, with a slight addition of silver powder and a trace of black ink. When preparing light color screen printing ink (printing material), it is necessary to add as little white ink as possible, as white ink has high activity and is prone to discoloration of other colors. To adjust the ink well, silk screen workers must: a. understand the various specifications and properties of the ink; Make the matched ink suitable for production needs. b. Master the basic knowledge of color science and use it freely in ink mixing. c. Analyze the color and process technology of printing, identify the color sequence of multiple sets of colors, to avoid incorrect color sequence, mixing of two colors, and color changes. d. When adjusting ink, attention should also be paid to the brightness of the ink color. It is required to use the original color as much as possible when adjusting the brightness, otherwise it is easy to make the ink "gray" and reduce the original color brightness.
