What to pay attention to when cleaning a transfer printing machine
Time:2023-11-06

When it comes to transfer printing machines, I believe everyone is quite familiar with them. Their printing products can be seen everywhere in our lives, so the cleaning work of transfer printing machines is very important. If it is not clean, it will affect printing quality and shorten its service life. Below, the editor will explain some precautions to be taken during the cleaning process of the transfer printing machine.

1. Template contamination

The main reason for template contamination is improper ink control, resulting in dry ink remaining in the mesh.

Cleaning method: When using solvent based ink or water-based ink, the reason is that the ink is too thin or too thick. It is important to ensure that the toner is adjusted so that it does not change on top. When using UV cured ink, the screen should be avoided as much as possible from exposure to UV lights and sunlight.

2. Graphic printing position

When there is dirt or dry ink on the printed part of the image and text, it must be decontaminated.

Cleaning method: After stopping the printing machine, lift the mesh frame and rub the bottom of the template with a solvent soaked sandcloth. Be careful not to use excessive force. Forceful friction can damage the graphical interface of the latex layer, or even wipe it off, which can damage the machine.

3. Contaminants on ink or printing materials

In order to ensure the normal operation of the mesh, attention should also be paid to cleaning the dirt on the ink or substrate. Due to electrostatic adsorption of pollutants in the air and harsh storage conditions, it can cause pollution to the surface of the substrate.

Cleaning method: solved by improving storage conditions and process control. In addition, the use of electrostatic precipitators and printing material cleaning devices can also prevent dust from transferring from the surface of the transfer machine to the mesh.

4. Ink control and printing speed control

Ink control issues and improper printing speed control can lead to uneven ink supply and rapid drying of the mesh under the ink. One reason for ink drying is improper setting or wear of the ink scraper. When printing fine images, the ink plate at the edge of the scraper needs to be deformed or worn during normal use, and the clarity of the surrounding images will also decrease accordingly. This situation indicates that the ink may not pass through the grid correctly. If this problem cannot be solved in a timely manner, the ink will dry and stick to the mesh.

Cleaning method: Regularly rotate the scraper to extend the service life of the scraper edge, or replace it with a new scraper before the printing quality of the transfer printing machine decreases. This can effectively improve the quality of the machine during printing.

When cleaning the transfer printing machine, the above precautions and methods must be taken into account to ensure better use of the machine and smooth completion of production.
